Job summary

Bellingham at West Chester is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to join our caring team. This full-time role covers overnight hours (11pm–7am) with rotating weekends, delivering resident care and medication administration with accuracy and compassion.

You will help residents with daily activities, follow treatment plans, document care, and coordinate with nursing staff. Eligible candidates have a State approved Medicine Aide Course, current Medication Tech Certification, and diabetic

Qualifications

• State-approved Medicine Aide Course completed.
• Current Medication Tech Certification with testing/observation hours.
• Current Diabetic training certification.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
• Gives treatments, performs tests, carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed.
• Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, and specimens when indicated.
• Transfers, transports, and escorts residents as needed.
• Answers signal lights promptly.
• Changes bed linens, makes beds and keeps rooms clean and orderly.
• Safely prepares, administers, and charts oral, topical, and suppository drugs.
• Checks and prepares each dose immediately preceding administration.

Starting Salary: $22.00 per hour

Schedule: Full Time 11pm - 7am shift with rotating weekends

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Medication Technician:

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

• Successful completion of the State approved Medicine Aide Course, and when applicable, the continuing education course.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to document care given.
• Current Medication Tech Certification with testing/observation hours required.
• Current Diabetic training certification required
• High School Diploma or GED
