Job summary

Liberty Senior Living in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced Medication Technician (CNA) to provide medication administration for residents and to take and document orders.

You will communicate with physicians, monitor resident status, and maintain safety through universal precautions. The role requires CNA certification or completion of the 75-hour course and the company Medication Administration course, with ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aide or completion of a 75-hour CNA course plus Medication Administration course.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly or at least ten times per shift.

Responsibilities

• Provides medication administration for residents.
• Takes orders, documents orders, orders medications, receives medications, and administers medications.
• Performs all nursing care duties (e.g., vital signs, enemas, etc.).
• Performs universal precautions and hazardous chemical procedures to keep residents and staff safe.
• Communicates with physicians and other health care professionals as needed to ensure quality nursing and medication orders.
• Reports changes in residents status to doctor, family, and administration immediately.
