Job summary

Priority Life Care is hiring PT nights and PRN Medication Aides to join our care team in Topeka, KS. You will administer medications, monitor reactions, and provide compassionate resident support in a compliant, respectful environment.

Qualified candidates have CPR/First Aid, state-required medication certification, and 1+ years in long-term care or related fields. Weekend/holiday availability is required; competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid Certification required.
• Medication dispersement certification for the given state required.
• 1+ years of experience in long-term care, home health or related service industries.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer medications according to state and federal regulations.
• Provide compassionate care and support to residents.
• Document vital signs and medication administration as required.
• Stay familiar with residents’ medical records and MARs.
• Report issues to direct supervisor and maintain compliance with policies.

The impact you'll make:

• Makes connections with and ensures the best care and medical assistance to our residents


• Accurately prepares and administers medications in compliance with all related policies and procedures and regulations.


• Stays familiar with residents’ medical record and medication administration record


• Documents vital signs, medication administration, resident behaviors associated with medication administration, medication incident and accident reports, and facility incident and accident reports.


• Prepares verbal and written reports related to successful or unsuccessful medication administration


• Reports any issues or problems that may arise to direct supervisor

Qualifications
