Job summary

Priority Life Care in Florida is seeking a dedicated Medication Tech and/or Qualified Medication Aide to join our compassionate team. You will administer medications, monitor reactions, and work closely with residents to ensure safe, respectful care.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid Certification required.
• Medication dispersion certification for the state required, 1+ years experience.
• Experience in long-term care or related services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Makes connections with residents and ensures the best care and medical assistance.
• Accurately prepares and administers medications in compliance with all related policies and procedures and regulations.
• Documents vital signs, medication administration, and related reports.
• Reports issues to supervisor and contributes to mission and values.

The impact you'll make:

• Makes connections with and ensures the best care and medical assistance to our residents
• Accurately prepares and administers medications in compliance with all related policies and procedures and regulations.
• Stays familiar with residents’ medical record and medication administration record
• Documents vital signs, medication administration, resident behaviors associated with medication administration, medication incident and accident reports, and facility incident and accident reports.
• Prepares verbal and written reports related to successful or unsuccessful medication administration
• Reports any issues or problems that may arise to direct supervisor

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Medication dispersement certification for the given state required, 1+ years experience
• Prior experience in long-term care, home health or related service industries
• Weekend and holiday availability required
