Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Florida.
• Minimum 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently within defined scope while appropriately escalating clinical or safety concerns to a pharmacist.
• Ability to stand, walk, and use a computer or workstation on wheels for an extended period of time
• Ability to work rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and documents a complete list of medications the patient was taking prior to admission.
• Verifies key medication details and clarifies unclear information.
• Identifies and documents allergies, intolerances, and adverse reactions.
• Compares patient-reported data with records to identify discrepancies requiring review.
• Identifies potential medication safety concerns and reports them as needed.
• Conducts structured medication history interviews with patients and caregivers during admission.
