Behavioral Health Group (BHG) is seeking a Medication Nurse (LPN or RN) in Alabama to administer methadone and maintain dosing records in a busy clinic.

This role offers a 5:30am-2pm weekday schedule, rotating Saturday shifts, and a competitive pay rate of $28 per hour plus a bonus structure. Join a nationwide network focused on compassionate addiction treatment and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Licensed as LPN/LVN in the state of employment.
• CPR and First Aid certified.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Preferred experience in chemical addiction.
• Accurate data entry skills and basic computing knowledge.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
• Quick reaction capability.
• Knowledge of dosing equipment, centrifuge, physical assessment tools, test strips, breathalyzers, and other medical equipment.
• Basic knowledge and skill in using standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Administer methadone as prescribed.
• Evaluate and assess new and current patients for treatment appropriateness.
• Observe and assess patients post-administration.
• Follow all physician orders.
• Collect urine specimens, file contract urines, and record results.
• Maintain medical supply inventories.
• Receive medication shipments per DEA and company procedures.
• Train new nurses.
