Commonwealth Senior Living in Christiansburg, VA is seeking a Registered Medication Associate (RMA) full-time to provide high-quality medication administration and resident care.

The role requires CPR/First Aid, ongoing certification, weekend availability, and compassionate interaction with seniors; you will monitor medications, document changes, and follow policy and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must be certified as a Resident Care Associate and maintain certification with CE credits.
• Knowledge of safe medication administration techniques and competency evaluation.
• CPR and First Aid certified or willing to obtain as per policy.
• Must understand and practice resident confidentiality.
• Must be able to work weekends and flexible hours as needed for resident care.
• Must demonstrate genuine compassion and concern for seniors and families.
• Proficient in basic office equipment, including a PC.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and safe delivery of the Medication Management Program.
• Adhere to policies and state standards when administering medications.
• Administer and accurately record medications as prescribed by the physician.
• Observe, record, and report complications or adverse effects of medications.
• Document refusals and changes in resident medication plans.
• Maintain accountability of medications and controlled substances.
• Document information in resident records and communicate updates.
• Maintain infection control practices and OSHA standards.
• Communicate with residents and staff clearly and respectfully.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
