Job summary

Sanford Health at Good Samaritan Atkinson is seeking a Medication Assistant to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under a charge nurse's supervision. You will assist with daily activities and monitor residents' health needs in a senior care setting.

Responsibilities include administering medications as directed, documenting care, communicating changes, and supporting wellness activities. CNA history is valued, and CMA/TMA certification is required or eligible.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 18 preferred.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Must have CMA/TMA certification or be eligible to obtain certification in the state.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document outcomes related to resident care and medication administration.
• Communicate changes in condition and care-related concerns to the charge nurse.
• Collect non-invasive specimens and record vital signs.
• Provide housekeeping and laundry services to keep living areas clean.
• Assist with wellness and recreational programs and participate in committees as needed.
