Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities, LLC. is seeking a dedicated team member for a PRN nursing assistant role in Cedar Park, Texas. You will help residents with medication needs, assist with daily activities, and document care in the Medication Assistance Record.

We value compassion for an aging population, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and respect for residents and families. CPR certification is preferred, and prior dementia care experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience with elderly population preferred.
• Calm, helpful and respectful demeanor preferred.
• Experience with dementia patients is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, order, and assist residents with medication needs.
• Transcribe and document in the Medication Assistance Record.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, vital signs, and basic care.
• Monitor changes in residents' physical or mental state and report them.
• Transport residents within the community to activities or dining.
• Respond to emergencies and requests promptly and safely.

Job Description

Schedule: PRN. All shifts available.

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining, ordering, and assisting residents with medication needs
• Transcribing and documenting in the Medication Assistance Record
• Assisting residents in Assisted Living and potentially Memory Care, with activities of daily living, taking vital signs, first aid, wound care, and communication with outside health care professionals as necessary
• Being observant of any changes in resident physical or mental state and reporting changes to leadership
• Transporting residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining
• Responding to emergency calls, resident and/or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required
• All state educational requirements for the position must be met
• CPR certification preferred
• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated
• Experience with dementia patients is helpful
