Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a PRN caregiver (CNA) to support residents with daily living tasks, medications, and health monitoring in our Cedar Park, TX community. You will assist memory care residents, take vital signs, and coordinate with nursing staff.

The role emphasizes a calm, respectful demeanor and reliable teamwork. PRN shifts offer flexible scheduling and opportunities to grow within a compassionate, resident-focused team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• All state educational requirements for the position must be met.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience with elderly population preferred.

Responsabilités

• Maintaining, ordering, and assisting residents with medication needs.
• Transcribing and documenting in the Medication Assistance Record.
• Assisting residents with activities of daily living and vital signs.
• Observe changes in health and report to leadership.
• Transport residents within the community for activities or dining.
• Respond to emergencies, requests, and environmental hazards promptly.

Job Description

Schedule: PRN. All shifts available.

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining, ordering, and assisting residents with medication needs
• Transcribing and documenting in the Medication Assistance Record
• Assisting residents in Assisted Living and potentially Memory Care, with activities of daily living, taking vital signs, first aid, wound care, and communication with outside health care professionals as necessary
• Being observant of any changes in resident physical or mental state and reporting changes to leadership
• Transporting residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining
• Responding to emergency calls, resident and/or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required
• All state educational requirements for the position must be met
• CPR certification preferred
• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated
• Experience with dementia patients is helpful
