Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Certification in medication administration and CPR/First Aid as required by state regulations.
• Knowledge of SDS materials and hazardous-material guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Sets up medications and passes them to residents per policies.
• Performs narcotic counts at shift start and end.
• Orders medications from the pharmacy per community policy.
• Checks MARs for errors per policy.
• Communicates with families to arrange medication delivery as needed.
• Assists with medication management including removing expired meds.
• Administers treatments, takes vitals, and weighs residents.
• Documents medical changes in MARs as ordered by physicians.
• Files lab work, faxes, and orders per policy.
• Schedules doctor appointments and admits new residents.
• Assists with daily living activities and meals.
• Maintains confidentiality and professional conduct.
