Job summary

You will document administrations, report errors, and participate in quality assurance activities while collaborating with nursing staff, physicians, and pharmacists to ensure resident safety and effective medication management.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
• Licensed Medication Aide in accordance with state laws.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials.
• Ability to write reports, procedures, and manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information to managers and staff.
• Mathematical ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follow facility policies governing medication administration to residents.
• Note and report errors in medication administration.
• Assist in developing procedures to prevent medication errors.
• Complete forms, charts, and reports as required.
• Maintain professional relationships with nursing staff, physicians, and pharmacists.
• Document and report medication administrations and any deviations.
