Job summary

Holland Farms Senior Living in Norwalk, IA, is seeking a Part-Time Medication Aide to provide compassionate care, supporting residents with dignity and independence each day. As part of the Agemark Senior Living community, you will administer medications, document care, monitor residents, and build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and teammates.

Qualifications

• Active 40-hour Medication Aide certification required or state's equivalent.
• Fluent English verbal and written communication.
• Basic computer skills for documenting medications and tracking.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer medications per physician orders and care plans.
• Document medication administration accurately and maintain records.
• Observe changes in residents' condition and report promptly to nursing staff.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living with compassionate care.

What You'll Do

• Safely administer medications according to physician orders and residents' care plans.
• Accurately document medication administration and maintain records.
• Observe residents for changes in condition, side effects, or concerns and promptly report them to nursing staff.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living while providing compassionate, dignified care.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members.
• Contribute to a positive, supportive community where everyone feels valued.

What We're Looking For

• Active 40-hour Medication Aide certification (or equivalent based on state requirements).
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Compassion, patience, and a genuine passion for serving older adults.
• Basic computer skills for medication documentation and tracking.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
