Distinctive Living is hiring a Medication Aide for our Mira Vie at Brookfield community in Belvidere, NJ. This full-time 3-11 position requires performing medication management and ADL assistance under the Health and Wellness Director, while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of caregiving experience.
• State HHA certification or CNA license required.
• Minimum six months supervisory experience in health care.
• Ability to read physician orders and understand medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Follow service plans and administer medications per physician orders and MAR.
• Document completion of tasks daily.
• Observe and report changes in resident condition per regulations.
• Communicate resident needs with other Medication Aides for consistency.
• Participate in meal service and assist with dining room duties.
• Supervise staff during shifts.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing trainings.
• Adhere to CQI program and report quality issues.
• Comply with HIPAA, OSHA and blood borne pathogen guidelines.
• Work safely and assist with injury investigations as needed.
