Job summary

Christian Community Homes and Services is seeking a Medication Aide to provide routine nursing care within the Assisted Living setting. The role supports the nursing team, ensures resident privacy, and follows all safety and infection control practices.

Strong communication and willingness to adopt new care methods are essential. The position involves collaborating with the nursing staff, serving residents’ daily hygiene needs, and administering medications per regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Certified through WI CBRF as a Medication Aide.
• High school graduate or equivalent is preferred.
• Must be able to perform all the requirements of the nursing assistant job description.
• Must have no performance/attendance issues documented in the past year.
• Must possess good communication skills and a willingness to work with all team players.
• Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices.
• Previous experience in a health care facility is desired.
• Must have an acceptable criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provides routine daily nursing care in accordance with facility and state/federal guidelines.
• Maintains an active working relationship with nursing team and ancillary departments.
• Promotes customer satisfaction and positive interpersonal relationships.
• Participates in care conferences and scheduled meetings as appropriate.
• Assists and encourages residents to take adequate diet, fluids, and supplements.
• Demonstrates proper infection control procedures and practices.
• Administers medications/performs treatments per regulations at regulatory and surveying agencies.
