Qualifications

• Certified Medication Aide is required in Iowa.
• CNA certification preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Distribute medications to residents under supervision of the charge nurse.
• Assist with Care Assistant responsibilities as needed.
• Obtain vital signs and blood glucose readings.
• Review resident care plans at shift start and as needed.
• Observe residents and report changes to Charge Nurse.
• Act as leader and mentor to team members.
