Job summary

Distinctive Living is seeking a Medication Aide for Mira Vie at Warren. The role covers medication management, personal care, and collaboration with medical professionals and families under the Health and Wellness director.

Responsibilities include following service plans, accurate documentation, reporting changes in residents’ conditions, and supervising staff on duty. Requires HHA/CNA certification and caregiving experience; HIPAA and safety guidelines must be followed.

Qualifications

• One year of caregiving experience or similar role.
• State-required HHA certification or CNA license.
• Ability to read physician orders and match them to MARs.
• Supervisory experience of six months or more in a health-related field.
• Understanding of medical terminology and ability to communicate with medical professionals.
• Compliance with HIPAA, OSHA and Blood Born Pathogen Guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Follow resident service plans and pass medications per physician orders.
• Document completion of tasks on a daily basis.
• Note changes in resident condition and communicate as required.
• Coordinate with other Medication Aides for consistent care.
• Assist with meal service and dining room responsibilities.
• Supervise staff during shifts as needed.
• Maintain required certifications and participate in ongoing trainings.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations affecting resident care and documentation.
