Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to communicate with residents, staff and families.
• Must show compassion and genuinely care for the elderly and disabled.
• Knowledge of SDS sheets location for hazardous materials and ability to follow guidelines.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize workload during emergencies.
• Ability to administer medications safely and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Set up medications and pass them to residents per policies.
• Perform narcotic counts at start/end of shift.
• Order medications from the pharmacy per community policies.
• Check MARs for errors and coordinate with physicians.
• Assist residents with showers, grooming, and activities of daily living.
• Provide meals service support and assist dining room operations.
• Respond to call lights promptly with patience and compassion.
• Keep resident charts updated with changes and incidents.
