Job summary

Bethesda Senior Living Communities in Frisco, TX, seeks a Medication Aide for full-time/part-time shifts (2 pm – 10 pm). You will set up and pass medications, monitor residents, and coordinate with the health team to ensure safety and comfort.

Requirements include a High School diploma and medication administration certification; CPR/First Aid may be state-required. Benefits include insurance, a 403(b) plan, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification in medication administration preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification may be required by state regulations.
• Must show compassion and genuinely care for the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Set up medications and pass them to residents following established policies and procedures.
• Performs narcotic counts at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Orders medications from pharmacy following community policies.
• Checks MAR's for errors following community policy.
• Communicates with residents' families to coordinate medication needs.
• Admits new residents per community policy.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living and daily care.
