Grove Park Health & Rehab Center in Asheville, NC is seeking a compassionate Medication Aide to administer medications as ordered by physicians, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, following established nursing standards and facility policies. Candidates must be in good standing on the state registry and complete or enroll in the QMA

Qualifications

• Must be listed in good standing on the state registry as a medication aide.
• Must have completed or be enrolled in a QMA competency evaluation program where required by state.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have basic computer skills and be able to navigate electronic health record software.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending Physician, under the direction of a licensed nurse within the scope of practice for Medication Aides. The administration of medication shall be in accordance with established nursing standards, the community policies, procedures, and practices, and the requirements of the state in which you operate.

Education/Qualifications:

• Be listed in good standing on the registry as a medication aide in the state in which you work.
• Passed the QMA competency evaluation program consisting of a written test, if your state requires.
• Must be currently enrolled in a high school program or have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software.

Shift and Wage:

• Full-Time Opportunity Available
• Shifts Needed: 1st and 3rd Shifts
  • 12-hour Shifts
• Wage: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
