Job summary

Village at Bend is seeking compassionate caregivers and medication aides to serve our residents in Bend, Oregon. You will report to the wellness director and assist with daily well‑being, medication assistance, and social activities in a nurturing environment.

Typical candidates have six months of senior caregiving or med pass experience; CPR/BLS certification is encouraged. We offer a range of benefits and opportunities to make a lasting impact in our community.

• CPR/BLS certification can be obtained.
• Compose reports in English.

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing treatments and monitor residents' vital signs.
• Maintain medication/treatment records and comply with guidelines.
• Communicate with physician, pharmacy, and family to ensure timely medications.
• Store medications and equipment and keep the medication room clean.
• Follow the resident service plan including ADLs and other activities of daily living.
• Demonstrate infection control procedures.

As a medication aide, you assist our senior residents in their daily well-being, including personal services, medication assistance, and social-recreational activities. You will report to the wellness director.

You Will

• Complete nursing treatments and monitor residents' vital signs
• Maintain medication/treatment records, comply with regulatory, OSHA, and incident reporting guidelines.
• Communicate with physician, pharmacy, and family as indicated to assure medications are received promptly
• Store medications and equipment and keep the medication room clean and orderly.
• Follow the resident service plan including; assistance, bathing, grooming, administering medication, and other activities of daily living (ADLs), noting changes in the resident condition.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and follow infection control procedures.
• Support the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and home-like environment for residents.

You Currently

• Typical candidates have six months of experience in senior caregiving or med pass.
• Can obtain CPR/BLS certification
• Compose reports in English.
