Job summary

St. Dominic Villa, an Illuminus Community in Wisconsin, is hiring a Medication Administration Aide. This FT/PRN role involves preparing, administering and recording medications, supporting residents with ADLs, and maintaining accurate documentation under RN/LPN supervision.

Candidates must have a CNA certification, Wisconsin medication administration credential, CPR, and a high school diploma. Compensation ranges from $21.50 to $24.00 per hour, with PM/NOC differentials, a sign-on bonus, and

• CNA Certification required.
• Wisconsin medication administration certification required; CBRF/AL training not accepted.
• Active CPR required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Maintain 100 hours Med Admin Aide work and 4 hours medication training per year.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and administering medications to residents under RN/LPN supervision.
• Supervising resident self-administration or reminders for medications.
• Accessing MAR to verify patient, drug, dose, route and time.
• Documenting vital signs, interventions, or other data related to medication administration.
• Maintaining resident confidentiality and reporting issues to the supervising nurse.
• Assisting residents with ADLs (bathing, dressing, bathing, etc.).
• Maintaining accurate documentation and HIPAA compliance.
• May work as a CNA as needed.

Available Opportunities:

Full-Time Evening Shift (PM)

• 8-hour shifts
• Every other weekend rotation

Casual/PRN All Shifts

Compensation:

• $21.50-24.00/hour, based on experience
• Shift Differential for PM and NOC shifts
• Overtime pay for hours worked beyond 8 hours in a shift

Every day, Medication Administration Aides (MAAs) have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents, fostering genuine connections and creating vibrant communities where seniors can thrive.

Candidates must already have (or be enrolled) in the additional Medication Administration Aide training required for working in a nursing home. CBRF/AL medication training does not qualify.

In this role, you will prepare, administer and record medications as directed and per policy, and assist with resident ADLs while maintaining accurate documentation, charting and adherence to company and HIPPA policies.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and administering medications to residents under the direction of RN/LPN.
• Supervising medication resident self-administration or performing medication reminders.
• Accessing Medication Administration Record (MAR) to verify the right person, drug, dose, route, and time against the resident’s record.
• Appropriately documenting vital signs, interventions, or other pertinent data related to medication administration
• Maintaining resident confidentiality.
• Reporting any issues to the supervising nurse.
• Assisting residents with ADLs (Bathing, Dressing, Oral Hygiene, Toileting, Baths., etc.).
• Maintenance of accurate documentation, charting and adherence to company and HIPPA policies.
• May work as a CNA as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) Certification required.
• Certified by the State of Wisconsin for medication administration. CBRF/AL medication training does not qualify.
• Maintained working 100 hours as a Med Admin Aide and 4 hours of medication training per calendar year since completing program.
• Active CPR
