Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, through OptumRx, seeks an Associate Director of Medicare Stars Strategy to lead Part D Star Ratings strategy, performance management, and client engagement. You will translate CMS data into actionable insights and drive interventions to close care gaps and improve medication adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or PharmD is required.
• 5+ years' experience with Medicare Part D Star Ratings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to influence cross‑functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Star strategy pharmacists, guiding strategy development and client delivery.
• Serve as the Part D Star Ratings SME for clients and internal teams.
• Lead Star strategy development and performance management for assigned clients.
• Monitor and evaluate KPIs to assess effectiveness of client strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners on Stars-related initiatives.
• Communicate clearly with clients and leadership.
• Manage strategic projects requiring problem‑solving and analytical expertise.
• Interpret CMS manuals, regulatory guidance, and spec updates.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis.
• Drive enterprise initiatives including process improvements and reporting innovations.
