Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Five (5) years’ experience in patient accounting preferred.
• Must have de-escalation training completed by the end of position orientation (90 days).
• Must have appropriate level of de-escalation training.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Outlook and Word.

Responsibilities

• Resolve credit balances on patient accounts and unapplied cash postings efficiently.
• Prepare a quarterly Medicare report of outstanding Medicare account credit balances.
• Process credit balance adjustments, refunds and related reports with accuracy.
• Maintain knowledge of government regulations regarding government accounts with credit balances.
• Ensure timely and accurate refunds and related reports.
