BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is seeking an Auditor II (Medicare Cost Reporting) to perform comprehensive financial and regulatory audits in a remote-capable role across the U.S. You will assess internal controls, document findings, and present recommendations to strengthen processes and compliance.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 3 years of auditing experience, with strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to work with confidential data.

Qualifications

• 3 years of auditing experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
• Knowledge of auditing principles and practice is essential.
• Ability to analyze financial data and draw actionable conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Conducts internal and external operational, compliance, and financial audits of divisions, departments, providers, and activities.
• Identifies, documents, and evaluates business risks and controls.
• Drafts recommendations to limit risks and improve processes and activities.
• Writes audit reports for executive management conveying findings and recommendations.
• Collects and analyzes data to detect deficiencies, fraud, or non-compliance with laws and policies.
• Prepares detailed reports of findings and recommendations and assists in testing corrective actions.
