Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our Government Consulting Department in New York. The role focuses on research, compliance, auditing, and consulting tasks while developing program and contract knowledge.

You will learn Medicare contract examinations and agreed-upon procedures, apply sampling and testing methods, and prepare standard working papers with documentation. Background check required and strong communication skills expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in accounting/finance or related field.
• Experience in accounting or CPA firm or professional services preferred.
• Ability to develop basic technical skills in applicable program areas.
• Understanding of Medicare contract work, examinations, and procedures.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, CaseWare, Box, Smartsheet is advantageous.
• Must pass a background check and communicate professionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of research, compliance, auditing, and consulting tasks.
• Develop basic technical skills in applicable program and contract areas.
• Learn Medicare contract examination and agreed-upon procedures concepts.
• Apply sampling and testing methodology to Medicare examinations and assignments.
• Complete standard working papers and prepare documentation.
• Outline problems and issues to the Team Lead and inform supervisors of progress.
