Job summary

Medisolv is seeking a Medicare Advantage Stars Data Analyst to ingest, analyze, and report Stars data, turning data into actionable insights. You will work with product, technology, analytics, and health plan teams to translate CMS specifications into data models and dashboards.

Candidates should have 5+ years healthcare data experience, strong SQL, experience with Power BI/Tableau, and knowledge of CMS Stars.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data analytics, computer science, health informatics, healthcare administration, mathematics, statistics, business, or a related field
• 5+ years of healthcare data experience, including direct work with Medicare Advantage Stars data and CMS Stars measures
• Experience with data ingestion, transformation, warehouses, marts, and analytical databases — strong SQL skills
• Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or comparable BI tools
• Strong data validation, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work directly with health plan stakeholders, translating business questions into analytical requirements, with strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert on CMS Stars measures and methodology
• Understand data from claims, HEDIS, CAHPS, HOS, supplemental feeds and how it becomes Stars performance
• Track CMS methodology changes and align analytical products accordingly
• Define data ingestion requirements and map source data into standardized structures
• Identify and resolve data quality issues during ingestion
• Design Stars data marts and analytical models translating requirements into fact tables and dimensions
• Validate data marts against CMS requirements
• Analyze Stars performance by plan/contract/measure/provider and identify trends
• Build dashboards and reporting specifications turning complex data into actionable insights
• Create reusable measures and visualizations and set reporting standards
• Collaborate with health plans to understand data needs and present findings
