Milliman's CMH Health Practice is seeking a credentialed Actuarial Manager with strong Medicare experience for a client-facing leadership role. The position entails managing junior staff, guiding provider VBP and MSSP engagements, and shaping financial strategy for ACO programs.

Candidates should hold an SOA/FSA designation and have 7+ years of Medicare actuarial experience, with strong Excel, Python, SQL, and SAS skills. Remote options supported; on-site in CT/IL/WI areas preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of full-time actuarial experience with Medicare programs (MA or ACO).
• SOA designation (FSA) is required.
• Strong analytical and client-facing communication skills.
• Experience mentoring junior staff and leading projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as client-facing actuary on Medicare advisory work (provider VBP, ACO strategy, MSSP).
• Advise on MSSP performance, TCOC benchmarking, and risk adjustment.
• Support ACO program opportunities and CMS-initiatives.
• Manage and direct professional staff on engagements.
• Lead workstreams independently and mentor juniors.
• Perform data analysis using Excel, SAS, Python, SQL, and Milliman tools.
• Support financial modeling for ACO performance and shared savings.
• Review others' work and contribute to research and product development.
• Train and coach professional staff on projects.
