Job summary

Milliman is seeking a consulting actuary with strong Medicaid managed-care experience to lead large, cross-functional projects for health industry clients in the United States. The role emphasizes building client relationships, guiding project teams, and delivering high-quality results.

The candidate should have ASA designation, 7+ years of health actuarial experience, and Medicaid experience within the last three years. Office in Milwaukee, Chicago, or Harford; remote options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative field is required.
• ASA designation with the Society of Actuaries (SOA) is required.
• 7+ years of health actuarial experience or similar at a consulting firm or health insurance company is required.
• 3+ years of Medicaid managed care experience in the past three years is required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and actuarial concepts is required.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with clients, direct projects, and present results to clients.
• Develop a successful client base through networking, articles, speaking engagements, and other marketing methods.
• Identify client issues and determine resources needed to solve problems.
• Plan projects, define deliverables, meet deadlines, and ensure quality procedures.
