Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking entry-level Medical Waste Technicians in San Francisco, CA to collect, segregate, and prepare medical waste at customer locations. You will receive comprehensive safety training and have the opportunity to grow within a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to complete a background check, drug test, and physical.
• Willing to get a Hep B Vaccination.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make medical waste pickups throughout a customer’s facility.
• Conduct chemical bulking and consolidation.
• Packaging and labeling medical waste products to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance.
• Participating in spill response on customer’s site as needed.
• Operating forklifts.
• Inspecting drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Ensuring the safe loading and unloading of waste hauling vehicles.
• Completing waste stream sampling and profiling.
