Job summary

Clean Harbors in San Jose, CA is seeking an entry-level Medical Waste InSite Technician to perform a range of field tasks and ensure compliance with safety standards on customer sites.

You will handle waste pickups, bulking and labeling, participate in spill response, and operate forklifts while maintaining regulatory requirements. Training and career growth are provided; benefits begin after 30 days for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to complete a background check, drug test, and physical.
• Willing to get a Hep B vaccination.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Making medical waste pickups throughout a customer’s facility.
• Conducting chemical bulking and consolidation.
• Packaging and labeling medical waste products to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance.
• Participating in spill response on customer’s site as needed.
• Operating forklifts.
• Inspecting drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Ensuring the safe loading and unloading of waste hauling vehicles.
• Completing waste stream sampling and profiling.

Skills

Valid driver's license

Healthcare experience (preferred)
