Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services is seeking a Material Handler I to support daily waste processing operations at our Texas location. You will safely move materials, maintain a clean work area, and assist with core plant functions.

This role includes paid training, company uniforms, strong health benefits, tuition reimbursement, and vacation/PTO after 90 days. A Stay-On bonus is offered, with opportunities for growth within our essential, mission-driven industry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 0-2 years in warehouse, manufacturing, sanitation, or labor preferred.
• Ability to lift 50-75 pounds and push/pull loads up to 200 pounds.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedules including overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload autoclave carts and box waste safely and efficiently.
• Move carts through tipping and cart washing equipment.
• Clean containers and equipment using pressure washing tools.
• Inspect carts and containers for cleanliness and damage.
• Weigh box waste and accurately record processing information.
• Bale cardboard and assist with loading trailers for shipment.
• Keep work areas, unloading zones, and equipment clean and organized.
• Perform general housekeeping and facility cleanup tasks.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Track and document daily processing and production volumes.
• Work closely with team members to support daily operations.
• Assist with process improvements and special projects as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
