Job summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking a Warehouse Materials Associate I to manage incoming freight, stock items, and perform quality checks. You will document shortages, rotate inventory by FIFO, and support the Inventory Team with discrepancies.

Role requires forklift/warehouse equipment experience, attention to detail, and solid customer service. A valid VA driver’s license and basic computer skills are needed to succeed in this fast-paced healthcare supply environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of relevant warehouse or materials management experience may be considered in lieu of HSD/GED.
• Valid VA Driver’s License with positive driving record required.
• Proficient with warehouse equipment and basic computerization, including inventory systems and email.

Responsibilities

• Receive and stock incoming freight, perform QA, and rotate inventory using FIFO.
• Inspect deliveries, document damages, and communicate discrepancies to the Inventory Team.
• Operate warehouse equipment (forklift, cherry picker, power jack) and maintain organized records.
• Provide exceptional customer service to requesters, end users, buyers, and other teams.
• Assist with orientation and guidance for new staff and participate in Materials Management meetings.
