Job summary

The Medical Value Liaison (West) at Ipsen Biopharmaceuticals Inc. is a field-based role serving population health decision-makers, external experts, and other professionals across the US healthcare ecosystem.

You will discuss scientific evidence, HEOR, real-world data, and quality strategies to advance formulary decisions and improve patient outcomes. We seek candidates with 2–3 years in payer or health-system medical roles, excellent communication, independence, and the ability to travel 50–70%

Qualifications

  • Doctoral-level degree in sciences (MD/DO/PhD/PharmD/Nursing)
  • HEOR experience in oncology, neurology or rare disease
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Independent work with strong time management
  • Cross-functional collaboration across commercial and medical teams
  • Healthcare policy knowledge and observational research methodologies
  • Knowledge of PhRMA, OIG and guidelines for compliant medical communications
  • Clinical research fundamentals and regulatory environment
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with decision-makers
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
  • Willingness to travel 50-70% of geographic territory

Responsibilities

  • Serve as medical contact for high-priority US payers, health systems and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Value & Access (V&A) teams to engage healthcare decision makers.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for priority accounts.
  • Communicate scientific and HEOR outcomes to PHDMs and payers.
  • Respond to medical information requests.
  • Gather insights on Ipsen products and disease states.
  • Understand US healthcare environment and policy impacts.
  • Identify external partnerships aligned with Ipsen resources (HEOR, Medical Affairs, R&D).
  • Coordinate with field medical and cross-functional teams.
  • Represent Ipsen at medical congresses and conferences.
