Job Title: Medical Value and Outcomes, Health Ecosystem Lead

About the Job

The Medical Value & Outcomes (MVO) team member serves as the medical scientific lead for population-based healthcare decision makers, facilitating scientific exchange on disease management and the value of Sanofi Specialty Care products. The role aims to optimize care pathways, improve patient outcomes, provide insights on evidence gaps, and identify research and educational collaborations. This position covers therapeutic areas including Neurology, Immunology, Rare Blood Disorders, and Oncology, serving as the medical lead within assigned health ecosystems.

The position supports strategic alignment within the organization to promote patient care and access within health ecosystems such as IDNs, quality organizations, and health plans. The MVO Ecosystem lead collaborates on Medical Plans and helps develop strategies to meet the needs of the specialty community. Reporting to the MVO Population Health Lead, this role is part of the North American Medical team.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Serve as medical scientific account strategy lead for prioritized health ecosystems, advancing population health and patient access.
  2. Develop strategic account plans for engagement with IDNs, health system pharmacies, and quality organizations.
  3. Oversee and coach regional MVOs in account strategy and stakeholder partnerships.
  4. Create initiatives, KPIs, and medical plans to build credible scientific partnerships with decision-makers involved in formulary and treatment decisions.
  5. Lead development and execution of medical account plans aligned with Sanofi strategies and policies.
  6. Facilitate scientific exchange and education, providing tailored, compliant medical and economic information to decision-makers.
  7. Gather customer insights and evidence gaps to inform product development and engagement strategies, developing key contacts and cross-therapeutic partnerships.
  8. Identify contacts within medical, payer, and advocacy groups.
  9. Map stakeholders across customer networks, including payers and GPOs.
  10. Support scientific advisory boards, conferences, and cross-functional engagement, coordinating with commercial teams as needed.
  11. Develop and deliver field tools, resources, and training, managing budgets efficiently.
  12. Mentor fellows and students.
  13. Execute evidence generation activities and manage related processes and budgets.
  14. Coordinate population health activities with therapeutic leads.
  15. Support local healthcare market opportunities with commercial colleagues.

Other Responsibilities:

  1. Develop research partnerships and manage RWE/health outcomes studies.
  2. Contribute to outcomes research publications and presentations.
  3. Provide internal training on scientific and health policy data.
  4. Offer strategic input to senior leadership.

About You

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • Doctoral degree (MD, PharmD, PhD) preferred; other relevant degrees with experience are acceptable.
  • Experience working with IDNs, GPOs, and population health strategies.
  • Managed care experience, preferably in specialty therapeutic fields.
