Some phlebotomy may be required and supervision to staff may occur on the given shift. The position is full-time with a 7-day rotating schedule and requires ASCP/AMT/NCA/AAB or CLIA high-complexity qualifications.

Qualifications

• 2 year / Associate Degree in Medical Technology (Required).
• OR meet CLIA minimum qualifications for high complexity testing personnel. (Required).
• 4 year / Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to the department in accurate and timely results of tests.
• Produces accurate and timely results according to established procedures.
• Works independently with little or no supervision.
• Uses sound clinical judgment when evaluating laboratory results.
• Documents work performed and recognize abnormal and critical results.
• Maintains all laboratory equipment properly as evidenced by proper documentation.
• Monitors the quality assurance system, including quality control.
