Job summary

FMOL Health in Baton Rouge is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist/MLT to join our Referrals Team. You will perform routine chemical, microscopic and bacteriologic tests, process specimens, scan reports, and coordinate with reference laboratories.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, NAACLS-approved MT/CLS training, and Louisiana CLS licensure. You will uphold quality, safety, and collaboration with physicians and staff to ensure accurate results and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a laboratory science or related field.
• One year training in a NAACLS approved MT/CLS program.
• Louisiana licensure as CLS-G or CLS-S with applicable specialty registry.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine or special chemical, microscopic and bacteriologic tests.
• Process specimens, scan reports, and coordinate with reference laboratories.
• Maintain quality control and accurate records of daily activities.
• Demonstrate initiative and adapt to changes while prioritizing duties.
• Assist in care and maintenance of the laboratory work area and equipment.
• Establish cooperative relationships with patients, physicians, and staff.
