Qualifications

• Education - Bachelor's Degree
• Training, temporary, or letter of pending permit issued by LSBME
• Licensure - Licensed in Louisiana as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Generalist (CLS-G) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist – Specialist (CLS-S) with Registry in applicable specialty for department and position.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine or special chemical, microscopic and bacteriologic laboratory tests across areas like chemistry, hematology, microbiology, or blood bank.
• Maintains productivity with accuracy and minimal errors across diverse procedures.
• Ensures quality control and instrument checks; keeps complete records of daily activities.
• Adheres to hospital and laboratory safety policies, infection control standards, and quality assurance procedures.
• Collaborates with physicians, pathologists, and staff to provide reliable diagnostic results.
