Qualifications

• Associate degree is required; Bachelor’s in Medical Technology preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Technologist experience is preferred.
• Florida technologist license required or ability to obtain during interview.
• Generalist competency in Blood Bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology or Microbiology is valued.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing according to procedures.
• Maintain quality control procedures and document results.
• Complete all required records pertaining to patient results.
• Perform stat procedures within established turnaround times.
• Use good judgment in interpreting and correlating patient results.
• Review logs and resolve outstanding workload with staff relief.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
