Job Summary and Qualifications

The Medical Technologist, under supervision, provides clinical laboratory services following departmental and hospital standards. Responsibilities include data collection, participating in performance improvement, facilitating communication among departments, notifying supervisors of unusual requests, performing computer functions, teaching staff and students, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include prior hospital laboratory experience preferred, a Bachelor's Degree, and certification as a Medical Lab Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) within one year of employment.
