Job summary

Saint Peter's Healthcare System seeks a Medical Technologist for a per diem night position in the Microbiology department. You will demonstrate proficiency in lab analyses, evaluate results, and perform quality assurance on equipment and reagents.

Responsibilities include evaluating new procedures, and you may have schedule flexibility with potential II shift, weekends, and holidays. Saint Peter's offers competitive benefits and tuition assistance programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology from an accredited institution
• Associates degree in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution
• Equivalent laboratory training and experience meeting the requirements defined by CLIA
• ASCP strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency and understanding of lab analyses and evaluating report results to appropriate personnel.
• Perform established procedures for test quality.
• Perform established quality assurance procedures for equipment and reagents.
• Evaluate new procedures.
• Schedule flexibility, possible opportunity on II shift, weekends and holiday.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology from an accredited institution

Associates degree in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution

Equivalent laboratory training and experience meeting the requirements defined by CLIA
