Saint Peter's Healthcare System in New Brunswick, NJ, is seeking a Medical Technologist - Per Diem in Microbiology. The role involves performing laboratory analyses, ensuring test quality, and participating in QA for equipment and reagents.

There is potential II shift work, with weekends and holidays possible. Candidates may hold a Bachelor's or Associate degree in laboratory science or Medical Technology, or CLIA-equivalent training; ASCP certification is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in lab analyses and interpret results for appropriate personnel.

• Carry out QA procedures for equipment and reagents.
• Evaluate and consider new procedures for potential adoption.
• Maintain schedule flexibility including II shift, weekends and holidays.

Medical Technologist - Per Diem

Microbiology

The Medical Technologist - Per Diem will:

• Demonstrate proficiency and understanding of lab analyses and evaluating report results to appropriate personnel.
• Perform established procedures for test quality.
• Perform established quality assurance procedures for equipment and reagents.
• Evaluate new procedures.
• Schedule flexibility, possible opportunity on II shift, weekends and holiday.

Requirements

• Must meet one of the following:
• Bachelors degree in a chemical, physical, biological or Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology from an accredited institution
• Associates degree in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution
• Equivalent laboratory training and experience meeting the requirements defined by CLIA
• ASCP strongly preferred.

Salary Range:45.00 - 45.00 USD

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
