Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Technologist to join the IL Central Lab: Microbiology in Rosemont, IL. This part-time position covers the 2nd shift (2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.) with rotating weekends and holidays.
The role involves performing and evaluating laboratory tests according to established protocols and contributing to timely patient care. The candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences and must obtain MT/MLS/AMT licensure within one year.

Pay Range: $24.10 - $46.05
Medical Technologist (MT) certification issued by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification issued by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC) needs to be obtained within 1 year, or Medical Technologist (MT) certification issued by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) needs to be obtained within 1 year.
Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
No experience required.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Frequently lifts up to 10 lbs. Will occasionally be required to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to sit, stand and walk for the majority of the workday. May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, explosive, radioactive and/or infectious agents. Will be exposed to human blood and body fluids. Must wear appropriate lab coat, gloves, gowns and eye and face protection as needed. Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
