Job Summary:

As an MLT or MT, you will be a vital member of a dynamic team responsible for testing patient samples and providing physicians with quality results using various clinical laboratory equipment. You will ensure patient safety and confidentiality through proper laboratory techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and operate clinical lab equipment according to manufacturer and laboratory policies, interpret results, and communicate abnormal or special request findings.
• Identify and accession patient samples into the Laboratory Information System accurately.
• Handle hazardous and biohazardous materials following regulations.
• Run controls to verify testing quality before releasing results.
• Provide phlebotomy services as needed during shifts.

Qualifications:

• ASCP Medical Technologist or MLT certification, or AMT Medical Technologist certification required.
• Preferred: 5 years of hospital lab experience.

Skills and Abilities:

• Familiarity with laboratory information systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and hazardous chemicals.
• Understanding of anatomy and medical terminology.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
