Job summary

MultiCare Allenmore Hospital in Tacoma, WA, is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform patient analytic laboratory testing, quality control, data analysis, results reporting, and instrument maintenance. Ideal candidates are detail oriented, capable of independent judgment, and possess strong critical thinking in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities include receiving specimens with proper ID, assessing specimen suitability, preparing reagents, and maintaining and calibrating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Sciences is required.
• Master's degree in Medical Technology is preferred.
• Certification for Medical Technologist, MLS (ASCP), or MT (ASCP), or AMT or MT (AAB) is required or preferred.
• Specialist Certification in discipline (preferred) such as SH (ASCP), SM (ASCP), SBB (ASCP), SC (ASCP) or related.

Position Summary

The Medical Technologist is an excellent technical opportunity at MultiCare, responsible for performing patient analytic laboratory testing, quality control, data analysis, results reporting, instrument maintenance and technical problem resolution. This position requires a service-committed individual, who is detail oriented and can perform complex data analysis, exercise sound, independent judgment and demonstrate critical thinking skills.

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $39.14 - $64.70 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
