***This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located onsite in either the southeast, southwest, or central United States. Travel will likely be required.***
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriological tests.
- Examine and analyze body fluids and cells; match blood for transfusions.
- Familiarity with the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) requirements for maintaining blood products for transfusion.
- Analyze chemical content of fluids and test for drug levels in the blood.
- Prepare specimens, count cells, and identify abnormal cells in blood and body fluids.
- Analyze test results and communicate findings to physicians.
- Culture body fluids and tissue samples to detect microorganisms.
- Analyze samples for chemical content or reactions, such as blood glucose and cholesterol levels.
- Evaluate test results, develop and modify procedures, and monitor programs to ensure test accuracy.
- Use universal safety precautions to protect against biohazardous materials, including blood-borne pathogens.
- Order and stock supplies; maintain a safe, clean work environment in compliance with regulations.
- In addition to patient preparation and equipment operation, radiologic technologists keep records, maintain equipment, and may manage departments or evaluate purchases.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Complete a formal Medical Technology training program leading to a Bachelor's Degree.
- Certified by AMT, ASCP, or NCA.
- Maintain current BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Medical Technologist.
- Current clinical experience in direct patient care, with at least 6 months in the last year.
- Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, organized, and communicate effectively.
- Proficiency with computers and MS Office.
- Flexibility to adapt to shift changes and operational needs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and timely inquiry resolution.
- Must be a US citizen or a permanent resident residing in the US for 3 of the past 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current adjudicated DHS clearance.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.

- Work in a typical interior/office environment.
- Sitting and standing for prolonged periods.
