Qualifications

• ASCP certification as Medical Technologist required.
• ASCP Certification Maintenance Program must be completed for incumbents certified after Jan 1, 2004.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and specialized laboratory testing independently within established time frames.
• Performs quality control and instrument maintenance; documents results and takes corrective action as needed.
• Adheres to regulatory guidelines and accreditation standards (CLIA, CAP); maintains safety and privacy standards.
• Participates in performance improvement and cost-reduction initiatives by managing supplies and reagents inventory.
• Adapts to patient population while maintaining professional communication and confidentiality.
