Position Details
- Reports To: Laboratory Director
- Status: 80 hours per two-week pay period
- Shift: 8-hour shifts during the week; 12-hour shifts on weekends. Rotating shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.
- Job Schedule: Full-time
- Weekly Hours: 40 hours
- Remote Position: No

Job Summary
Performs a variety of general and specific laboratory duties across different sections, including Phlebotomy, Urinalysis, Hematology, Chemistry, Special Chemistry, Blood Bank, Serology, and Microbiology. Reviews and monitors quality control, preventive maintenance, and laboratory reports. Ensures results are valid according to quality guidelines.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree or higher in chemical, physical, or biological sciences.
- Successful completion of an approved MT/MLS or MLT program.
- MT/MLS (ASCP) or MLT (ASCP) certification or equivalent.
- Clinical laboratory experience preferred.
Working Conditions
- Involves sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and walking throughout the hospital and between physician’s offices. May require lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.
- Requires finger/hand dexterity and eye/hand coordination.
- Environment is clean, well-lit, and climate-controlled.
- Work involves biological and chemical hazards.
