Medical Technologist/MLT/Lab Technician - Special Chemistry

In this role, you will perform and interpret tests at all complexity levels, aiding in patient care decisions. You will gain extensive hands-on experience working with top researchers and specialists.

We hire in three different titles based on education:

• Medical Technologist
• Med Lab Technician
• Lab Technician

This role works days from 7:00AM - 3:30PM, with weekends and holidays as needed.

Key responsibilities include:

• Following procedures for specimen handling, testing, and record keeping.
• Maintaining regulatory compliance and quality control.
• Calibrating and maintaining equipment.
• Participating in proficiency testing and continuing education.
• Troubleshooting test performance issues and documenting activities.
• Training staff and students as needed.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a science-related field or meet CLIA high complexity testing qualifications.
• Licensed in Florida at the technologist level.
• Additional licenses in Microbiology, Immunohematology, etc.

Preferred qualifications:

• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT, MLT, MLS) or eligible.
• Experience with Roche or mass spectrometry.
• Relevant internship or lab experience.

Physical requirements include visual acuity, color differentiation, manual dexterity, and the ability to stand for long periods. PPE is required as per safety protocols.
