Medical Technologist/MLT/Lab Technician- PRN Evenings/Weekends

Join Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital as a Medical Technologist/MLT/Lab Technician in this PRN role with evening and weekend shifts. Hillcrest Hospital provides state-of-the-art healthcare and is recognized as a top hospital and Magnet Hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

This role involves performing and interpreting laboratory tests at all complexity levels, understanding scientific principles, and maintaining quality standards to support patient care. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a leading healthcare organization.

We hire for three titles based on educational background:

• Medical Technologist
• Med Lab Technician
• Lab Technician

Shift: Variable, 2:30pm—11:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow procedures for specimen handling, testing, and record-keeping.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and document quality control activities.
• Ensure equipment maintenance and proper documentation.
• Perform proficiency testing and participate in continuing education.
• Identify and address test performance issues and train staff or students as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant science or medical technology field, or meet CLIA qualifications for high complexity testing.
• Foreign degrees require translation and proof of equivalency.

Preferred:

• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT, MLT, MLS) from ASCP or AMT.

Physical & Safety Requirements:

• Visual acuity, color differentiation, manual dexterity.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift light objects, and handle hazardous materials.
• Use of personal protective equipment as per safety protocols.
